With less than 3 weeks left in the year many people will be sitting back and taking stock of the year. Did they complete the challenges they set themselves, can they hit their target in the next couple of weeks? They might have a list of short, medium or long term goals drawn up for the next 12 months.
A lot of people think that by giving up everything that they will somehow achieve results. I don’t believe in giving up anything. I recommend taking up something and see how it changes you.
I have one or two things in mind to challenge myself for 2018.
Great to see so many runners out there even if the temperatures have dropped. I would recommend wearing a high vis vest.

Dust off the bike and go for a spin around the lake.
Learn to swim.
Learn to dance?

I have 6 counties left to run in. I need to make a plan to achieve this.
Yesterday I hit the 1500 mile mark for the year. I’m still hopeful of hitting the 1600 mile mark by the 31st.
Last week I was talking to Patrick Mercie about his latest challenge. Noel McCarthy and himself will be running 11 marathons in 11 days in each county of Connacht and Munster in aid of Croi. I should be joining them for at least one day. Check them out on Facebook 11 marathons 11 counties 11 days.
