Recovery is still pretty slow and I’m starting to think I might need professional advice on all the aches and pains I have. Tuesday night saw the last race of the Galway 5 km series in Athenry. I was hoping to break the 24 minute mark but I was just short and crossed the finish line in a time of 24:04
I had a fairly good pace and had started to push myself a bit after 3 km.
To go from 24:30 to 24:04 over 3 weeks is something to be very proud of considering I didn’t really know what I was capable of going into the race in Loughrea.I haven’t decided if I will run the one mile race in Merlin woods on Friday night. Castlegar AC are organising the event starting at 7.00 P. M.
Purefit are organising a Spinathon on June 26th in aid of “Lets Get Galway Talking” I have already signed up . If you have never taken part in a spinning class you should really check out this event.
