I spent the last week recovering from  my half marathon in the Mournes.

I’ve had some decent runs and my legs seem to be back to normal. Last night I was up against Hurricane Gaston/ Hurricane Gluaistean whatever you want to call it. It added a bit of life to my 5.5 mile run to say the least.

I probably have two more long runs in me before the marathon in Clarinbridge on September 10th.

250 star My next milestone is day 250 of my run streak on Tuesday 6th September. If you want to join me check out the events page. www.idonate.ie/2016miles

If you see me running on Salthill Prom wearing a headtorch, I am not protesting against Galway Council, I am training for a race in Offaly.

There’s a couple of good races coming up in Galway.

Thursday September 15th Rinville Park 5km in aid of Galway Samaritans

Friday  September 16th  National Fitness Day. I will schedule an event for this.

Saturday September 24th 8km in aid of   ‘Jigsaw’.

Sunday  September 25th  Loughrea 10km in aid of Irish Guide Dogs

Local Park runs are also on every Saturday at 9.30 a.m.  www.parkrun.ie

I’m hearing great reports from Oranmore Park  Run.

Best of luck to everyone running in Dingle this weekend.

I hope to see some of you on Tuesday.
