It’s been a funny week. Part of me thinks it was a quiet week but in actual fact I got an awful lot done.

I clocked up the most miles I’ve run in a very long time. I’ve also been working on getting some new classes up and running and should have some news about that in the next couple of days.

I’ve been looking into which races I want to run in the next couple of months and the kind of training I need to do.

‘Streets of Galway’ 8km is coming up on the 6th of August. If you haven’t already entered I would recommend you do so now.

I will be running my 900th mile of the year this Sunday. If you want to join me I will be leaving the Claddagh Hall at 4.00 p.m.

Congratulations to all 102 swimmers and their crews who swam across Galway Bay last Saturday. It is an amazing achievement.

This is the busiest week of the year in Galway with The Galway Races taking place in Ballybrit. This doesn’t mean your fitness regime has to go completely out the window though.
