The half way point of my 2016 mile challenge has come. I’m slightly behind on my miles. I had known this for a while and I’m still looking to build up my miles over the next two months.

I should be hitting the 800 mile mark on Sunday.challange & change

Yesterday I woke to the news that ‘Hand in Hand’ were in serious trouble for the second time this year. Hopefully this won’t happen as they provide a vital service to many families.

I have run everyday this year and Monday 18th July will be day number 200. If you would like to join me for a couple of miles on the prom I have an event set up on my Facebook page. Plenty of tips and advice on the night. Donations to ‘Hand in Hand’.

Challenge Galway was recently in Galway and Co. Clare with 4 different distances held over 2 days.

I managed to see some of the runners as they took to the Salthill prom and I was lucky enough to be at the finish-line to see local man Daragh Molloy win the 140.6 mile race.

I have been looking to race in the 7 counties I haven’t already run in.

I am now entered in my 12th marathon in Omagh on 31st July. Time to get some long runs in.

It looks like Park-run in Galway is growing with Oranmore starting a new 5km route on August 6th. I’m looking forward to taking part in it.
