Blog image week 5

I was back coaching with ‘On The Road Again’ last week. It was good to see a few new faces enthusiastic to discover the joys of running.

Afterwards I went for a run myself and clocked up my 200th mile of the year.

I was feeling a bit run down for a few days and had to ease up on the mileage a small bit and will always be wary of the fact that getting a head cold or flu could jeopardise my 2,016 mile challenge. Sometimes all you can do is rest up in order to speed up recovery.

I have had a few offers to do sports massage at a some events but I’m probably going to wait until the Connemarathon on 9th and 10th of  April as I want to get a few races under my belt.

I had to try not to laugh listening to the rest of the people on my sports massage course talking about running a half marathon or marathon. They were talking about it like it was the most alien thing imaginable!

I think it’s important for your career that you should be able to relate to as many different types of people as possible. You don’t have to like every sport imaginable but it does help if you have an understanding of it in order to broaden your client base.

There is an awful lot going on behind the scenes.

I have been taking Gerry Duffy’s advice  “Dream it..Do it…”

I should have news of  a few new projects by next week.

There are a couple of places left on my ‘Proper Running Technique’ Workshops over the next two weekends so please get in touch if you are interested.
